A Heathland Banquet

A research project funded by the Arts Council
Nov 2022

I had been investigating the possibities of creating a living installation utilising raw clay, organic materials sourced from the Heathland, and seeds. A residency at spudWORKS gallery in the New Forest was an opportunity to work in the gallery, growing the banquet, and sharing my research with the community.

This project is part of a wider committment and desire to make art that is ecologically sustainable and contributes to the dialogue surrounding the importance of conserving our natural flora and wild places. The work remained un-fired and was returned back to the Heathland once the residency had finished.
