Working with the Womans Intergration Group in Southampton

In February and March 2019, I delivered a 6 week hand-building ceramic workshop for a Women's Integration Group based in Southampton and supported by the John Hansard Gallery.

The women's final pieces were exhibited in the gallery, and during the exhibition I threw hundreds of pots on the potters wheel so that the vessels began to saturate the gallery space. The Women's Integration Group and general public were invited to be part of the installation by assisting me on the wheel, carving into the vessels and writing personal messages into the clay about what community means to them.
